ARRAY is proud to announce the national revival screening tour of filmmaker Haile Gerima?s?Ashes and Embers,?which was the winner of the FIPRESSCI Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival 1983. The film is also available for viewing on Netflix. The film was restored and began its distribution last month through a new initiative known as Array Classics.?Ashes and Embers?tells the story of an African-American Vietnam vet wrestling with a turbulent past and a chaotic political climate to make a future for himself.
Ashes and Embers?marks the first film that will tour across the United States under the Array Classics banner, which identifies seldom-seen cinematic gems and introduces those works to new audiences.
